Alot of people buy jap stuff and when they see you with something made in USA they have to bash . Works the same with bikes.

i don’t know that they are junk. i think part of the explanation for people thinking they are junk is that the average shop works on the jap’ bikes the most. when they get a Polaris they make comments that they are junk when they work on them because they are very different than the jap bikes. to work on a Polaris it requires different thought than the norm.

smartblo is correct. Maintenance is the key.I drive a Yamaha Big Bear It stays in the shape it is because of regular maintenance. My ’91 truck is all about maintenance also. He’s right, Certain people give different products bad names.They can be so irresponsible.

i think polaris is a great breed, beats supporting the japp economy any day, but the polaris dealer in my area is an @ss, so i still wouldn’t own one out of spite

Because they dont think it looks good. all 4 wheelers are the same a polaris and a honda are equivelent. Polaris is just as good as the others. although people may not like belt drive.

Any ATV that does not receive proper maintenance by it’s owner will quickly become a piece of junk. That is where most of these reputations come from. It’s the same with cars – trucks and motorcycles. Companies invest big money to bring these things to market and some BOZO runs the crap out of it with no maintenance and then bitches and complains because its broken. Just look at the average Harley. Not the best bike in the world (and not the worst either) but their owners maintain them religiously. And they last ‘forever’. There is no such thing as “maintenance free”!

I’ve never heard any bad remarks about them. I used to work for the Remington Guns corporate headquarters and Remington is somewhat “in bed” with Polaris. As a result we got a deep discount and many of my co-workers purchased them. I never heard any of those folks complain about Polaris.
