If so, just be honest and tell him that the times changed and you won't be able to make it. I think anyone would understand that - it's not your fault at all. If you didn't tell him about it, I would just say that a family emergency came up and you'll be out of town. A little white lie never hurt! :) Just be very remorseful and make sure to apologize.
