Comments on: How can you insist that your Hairdresser cut your hair while it’s dry?

This is just stupid. Not the question but why the hair dressers won’t listen to their clients. First Rule of Salonism is to DO WHAT THE CLIENT WANTS, NOT WHAT YOU WANT. What they need to do is go in there and ask the lady or man at the desk “Will you cut my hair while it’s dry” If they say yes, then you go and wait your turn. And you go sit down in the chair, you say once again ” Can you cut my hair while it’s dry” if they say yes you let them cut. If they say no to the above then you leave. Easy as that.

REMEMBER: If they don’t do what you want them to do, you say “I don’t like this at all” Don’t worry it won’t hurt there feelings, it isn’t what you wanted. Simple.

I’m sorry to hear that you have had bad luck with stylists not listening to what you want. I hate it when that happens. Just have your friends insist this is how they want it done, and if they aren’t willing to do it, walk out and find someone that will. You are paying customers and you call the shots. Do not let them intimidate you

um, well. I would tell them to tell their hair dressers to not cut their hair until it is dry……and yeah. pretty simple.

oh yeah, i tell them this all the time. my hair is realllly curly when wet so i always have them dry it and straighten it before cutting. sometime they seem a lil reluctant about it but you just gotta tell them how it is girl!

They have to straighten out all the curls when it is dry to see if it is even! Every hairdresser should know that (especially when working with black hair because of the curl)

Ask them to cut it while it is dry, explain the reasons why, and if they won’t do it, say you will just go somewhere else! Hairdressers hate losing business!!

They must completely insist that they must have it done dry, they are the customer and do not need to supply an explanation. If they refuse, then walk out and find a new salon. Its not worth it, your the consumer, they must accompany your needs.

All i can advise is that they tell the hairdresser about all their past experience and explain that’s why they insist on their hair being cut dry. If the hairdresser begins to wet the hair, make sure to tell them that you will not be returning to that hair salon.

Mostly you just have to insist that it’s cut dry. If they try to start cutting it while it’s wet then they have to tell the hairdresser to stop and blow dry it first.
