Who uses professional hair products?

I already pay $28 for a haircut, do I have to tip my hairdresser? What is the policy, and what percent?

I am interested in being a hairdresser, and it would be really neat to be a hairdresser for actors/actresses, but I’m sure only the best get to do that and I wanted to know if anyone had any advice on how to work up to that.
